Do you know where your cat or small dog is? Right now? I thought my cat was safe. A couple of coyote pups thought he was breakfast.

Everybody was wrong. My cat wasn't safe, but neither was he breakfast. However, he was quite traumatized, a bit injured, and still not fully recovered.

In talking with people, coyote stories are coming out of the woodwork. Not all of the stories have a happy ending. Even here in the suburbs of a major city, it would seem the coyotes are as thick as fleas.

I'd like to think Animal Control would be doing something to control the coyote population, but it would appear not.

I am not amused.
